Our Story

From the Bahamas to Columbus

Island Girl Bahamian Cuisine was born from one woman's passion, resilience and unshakeable love for her culture. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, Chef Felisha Bowe — a single mother and lifelong cook — discovered a city hungry for authentic Caribbean flavors.

Armed with recipes passed down from her mother in the Bahamas, she turned her kitchen into a cultural bridge, and never looked back. Every dish is seasoned by hand and prepared fresh for the event it is headed to.
